Payment Terms

Acceptable payment terms are a pre-approved open account, a US issued credit card (Visa/Mastercard), and Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs). If you wish to establish an open account with NEI, please send your credit information via email to info@nei.net or fax to 423-979-0106 to the attention of Accounts Receivable. NEI also accepts various contract vehicles and terms from the US Federal Government. NEI is registered in CCR (Central Contractor Registration).

Pricing

NEI provides prices either in our on-line catalog or by a response to a request for quote. A small number of items in our catalog may be mispriced, often from the manufacturer. If an item's updated price is higher than our catalog price, we will contact you prior to shipping for your authorization to ship and bill at the corrected price.

Shipping and Handling Charges

NEI provides estimated shipping charges on all quotes. We do our best to be as accurate as possible. Final shipping costs are adjusted at time of shipment processing and include shipping insurance by default.

Packaging and Marking

All shipments are packed to ensure the safe arrival to its destination. All parts are marked with order information and vehicle information when for a specific work order or repair order.

Core Charges and Core Returns

Some of the parts we provide are rebuilt or remanufactured items with a core charge. In addition to the cost of the part, a core price is established to encourage the return of the old part being replaced which is remanufactured. When you see a core charge, it is the actual charge from the rebuilder or remanufacturer. All items that have a core charge are marked with core stickers. If you want to return a core for credit, please return as soon as possible. The core return deadline varies from remanufacturer to remanufacturer (30 to 90 days).

Also, please note the following:

  • Return item in the original box of the remanufactured item you received. For instances of large items such as engines, transmissions and transfer cases simply return either in the provided molded case or by way of your own packaging when molded cases are not provided.
  • Please drain all fluids when applicable.
  • Shipping charges for core returns are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.
  • All cores are subject to inspection for any deductible values which typically apply to engines, transmission, and rear end differentials.
  • Some items may not receive any core credit if the item being returned is not rebuild-able such as cracked heads or blocks.

Defective Parts

If any item you receive is defective, please contact NEI as soon as possible for warranty replacement. Please visit our warranty information.

Receiving your Order

Upon receipt of your shipment, please ensure that all items on the packing list/invoice have been accounted for. All claims for damaged or missing items must be reported within three days of receipt of the shipment. In the event your package arrives damaged, please inform the shipping carrier as soon as possible to inspect the package to assure full refund or replacement.

Return/Exchange Policy

Due to the diversity of products offered by NEI, the returns and exchanges not only vary from manufacturer to manufacturer but also from product to product. If you want to return or exchange an item, please contact NEI as soon as possible to check for return/exchange eligibility.

When making a return, item must be in resalable condition. Item shall be in its original packaging, unused, and also contain all included accessory items and documentation such as installation instructions, warranty card, etc. Please be sure there is no packing tape or other labels on any new original merchandise packaging.

Some items are non-returnable and that is typically known at the time of quote. Any custom orders, special orders, repair manuals, installed parts, and electrical parts and components are non-returnable.

All items received for refund or exchange is subject to a full inspection to verify the above guidelines are met. For approved refunds, NEI will refund original shipping charge when the refund is a result of an NEI error such as incorrect crossing or wrong packaging by manufacturer. In cases of exchange, NEI will pay for shipping charges for replacement when the exchange is a result of an NEI error as mentioned above.

Restocking Fee

Some items are subject to a restocking fee. NEI establishes no restocking fee of its own. Restocking fees vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Only fees assessed by the manufacturer or supplier are passed on. We will let the customer know at the time of a return request.
